CauseWork · MyLocalPost.app
Terms, EULA, and Platform Policies
These Terms govern MyLocalPost, an application owned and controlled by CauseWork.
Master Terms of Use and End User Agreement
Applies to all members, visitors, account holders, profiles, content, communications and platform features.
| Effective date | September 7, 2026 |
1. Agreement and incorporated policies
These Terms form a binding agreement between you and CauseWork, doing business as MyLocalPost.app ("MyLocalPost," "we," "us" or "our"). By creating an account, clicking acceptance, or using the service after the Terms are presented, you agree to these Terms and the policies expressly incorporated into them.
The Privacy Policy, Community Standards, Marketplace Rules, and any feature-specific supplemental terms apply according to their scope. If a supplemental term expressly controls a conflict for a particular feature, that supplemental term controls.
2. Eligibility and accounts
General members must be at least 13 years old. A person under the age of legal majority may use the service only with permission and supervision required by applicable law. Commercial, political, media and organizational account administrators must be at least 18 and authorized to bind the account holder.
You must provide accurate information, safeguard credentials, use reasonable account security, and promptly report suspected unauthorized access. You are responsible for activity by people you authorize.
3. The service
MyLocalPost is a community platform for local conversation, discovery, news, groups, events, marketplace activity, businesses, nonprofits, schools, faith and community organizations, creators, podcasts, public-safety information and civic participation. Features may change, be delayed, be limited by geography or plan, or remain unavailable. Marketing descriptions do not override the current product state shown at purchase or use.
4. Your content and license
You retain ownership of content you own. You grant MyLocalPost a worldwide, nonexclusive, royalty-free, sublicensable license to host, store, reproduce, adapt for technical formatting, distribute, display, perform and otherwise use your content as reasonably necessary to operate, secure, improve and promote the service. The license ends when the content is deleted, subject to reasonable backups, legal obligations and content shared by others.
You represent that you possess all rights, licenses, permissions, releases and consents needed for your content, including rights involving music, recordings, guests, likenesses, trademarks, photographs, minors, confidential information and third-party materials.
5. Acceptable use
You may not use the service for unlawful activity, fraud, impersonation, threats, exploitation, harassment, doxxing, malware, scraping, unauthorized automation, metric manipulation, account evasion, intellectual-property infringement, sale of prohibited goods, or interference with the service. Adult sexual content, pornography, sexual services, sexualized exploitation and content primarily intended for sexual gratification are prohibited.
6. Local information and emergency limits
Community, news, weather, traffic, safety, health and civic information may be incomplete, delayed or inaccurate. MyLocalPost is not 911, emergency dispatch, an official warning system, a government record, a legal notice service or a substitute for authoritative instructions. Call the appropriate emergency service when immediate safety is at risk.
7. Third parties and transactions
MyLocalPost may connect users to third-party websites, businesses, payment processors, advertisers, organizers and other users. MyLocalPost is not a party to a user-to-user or user-to-account-holder transaction unless expressly stated. Third-party terms and fees may apply. Users must independently evaluate goods, services, people, locations, claims and payment requests.
8. Moderation and account action
MyLocalPost may investigate, label, reduce distribution, remove content, restrict features, suspend or terminate accounts, preserve evidence, and cooperate with lawful process. We do not undertake a duty to monitor all content and do not guarantee that prohibited content will never appear.
9. Intellectual property and feedback
The service, software, interface, designs, marks and documentation are owned by MyLocalPost or its licensors. No rights are granted except the limited right to use the service under these Terms. Voluntary feedback may be used without restriction or compensation unless agreed otherwise in writing.
10. Disclaimers
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE.” MYLOCALPOST DISCLAIMS IMPLIED WARRANTIES, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT GUARANTEE UPTIME, SECURITY, RESULTS, ACCURACY, RANKING, REACH, SALES, DONATIONS, SPONSORS, LISTENERS OR OUTCOMES.
11. Limitation and indemnity
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, MYLOCALPOST AND ITS AFFILIATES, PERSONNEL AND PROVIDERS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, EXEMPLARY, CONSEQUENTIAL OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, LOST PROFITS, LOST DATA, LOST GOODWILL OR SUBSTITUTE SERVICES. AGGREGATE LIABILITY WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF $100 OR THE AMOUNT YOU PAID MYLOCALPOST FOR THE AFFECTED SERVICE DURING THE TWELVE MONTHS BEFORE THE EVENT, EXCEPT WHERE LAW PROHIBITS THAT LIMIT.
You will defend, indemnify and hold harmless MyLocalPost and its affiliates, personnel and providers from third-party claims arising from your content, conduct, products, services, events, transactions, legal violations or breach, subject to applicable law and MyLocalPost's control of the defense.
12. Governing law and dispute terms
Virginia law governs without regard to conflicts principles, except non-waivable law. Judicial proceedings must be brought in an appropriate state court in the City of Roanoke, Virginia, or the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Virginia, Roanoke Division. TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, EACH PARTY WAIVES JURY TRIAL AND CLASS, COLLECTIVE, CONSOLIDATED OR REPRESENTATIVE PROCEEDINGS. Claims must be brought individually. These provisions do not eliminate non-waivable consumer rights.
13. General terms
If a provision is unenforceable, it will be limited to the minimum extent necessary and the remainder remains effective. Failure to enforce is not waiver. You may not assign your account or these Terms without consent. MyLocalPost may assign them in connection with a reorganization, financing, merger, sale or transfer. Electronic communications satisfy writing requirements where lawful. Questions: support@causework.io.
Commercial Account Terms
Applies to businesses, professionals, advertisers, political accounts, creators, media accounts, nonprofits and organizations using commercial or organizational features.
| Effective date | September 7, 2026 |
1. Authority, responsibility and verification
The account holder must be a valid person or entity, and each administrator must have authority to bind it. The account holder is responsible for accurate identity, ownership, licensing, contact, service-area and payment information; all authorized users; and timely updates. MyLocalPost may require verification and may deny or revoke a category, badge or feature.
2. Plans and advertising model
Paid business advertising uses fixed-price plans and inventory rather than pay-per-click bidding or behavioral-ad auctions. A selected ZIP code, town, county, state or service area is a distribution parameter, not a guarantee that every viewer is physically inside it. No plan guarantees ranking, impressions, clicks, leads, customers, appointments, sales or conversions. Current price, features and capacity shown at checkout control the purchase.
3. Manual renewal
Paid annual plans renew only through an affirmative purchase. MyLocalPost will not automatically charge a new annual term unless the account holder separately enrolls in a future automatic-renewal product with legally sufficient disclosure and consent. Benefits ordinarily continue through the paid term following cancellation, subject to suspension or termination for cause.
4. Profiles and claims
Commercial profiles may provide website-like sections, services, products, hours, service areas, offers, events, media, contact tools, booking or payment links and community content. Account holders are solely responsible for truthful, substantiated claims; required licenses and disclosures; price and inventory accuracy; fulfillment; warranties; taxes; refunds; safety; accessibility; and compliance with regulated-industry rules.
5. Reviews and endorsements
Fake reviews, undisclosed insider reviews, review suppression, sentiment-conditioned incentives, fake influence indicators and other manipulation are prohibited. Material connections, sponsorships, free products, affiliate relationships and paid endorsements must be disclosed clearly and conspicuously as required by law.
6. Account categories
Private person-to-person marketplace activity is governed by the Member Terms and Marketplace Rules, not these Commercial Terms, unless the seller is acting commercially.
Eligible nonprofits may receive profiles, publishing and advertising without MyLocalPost profile or platform fees. External processor, banking, tax, licensing and legal costs may still apply.
Approved news-media profiles are free and editorial-only. Commercial creator or network activity must use an eligible creator product and remain distinguishable from the editorial profile.
Political accounts use the separate $100 annual Civic Center package and the Political Terms.
7. Payments and direct relationships
Where supported, customers, donors, ticket buyers or sponsors pay the account holder through the account holder's selected third-party processor. MyLocalPost does not become the merchant, charity, fiduciary, fundraiser, employer, agent or contracting party merely by providing technology. The account holder is responsible for processor terms, chargebacks, refunds, receipts, taxes and legally required records.
8. Member data
Followers, listeners, customers, donors, attendees and message senders remain MyLocalPost members. An interaction does not transfer ownership of their information. Account holders may use information only for the interaction reasonably expected by the member and permitted by law. Scraping, enrichment, sale, rental, unauthorized export and unrelated reuse are prohibited.
9. Suspension and termination
MyLocalPost may reject, relocate, label, limit, pause or remove advertising or commercial content and may restrict or terminate accounts for risk, policy, legal, operational or integrity reasons. No refund is owed for suspension or termination caused by the account holder's breach, except where law requires otherwise.
Privacy Policy
Explains MyLocalPost data practices for members, visitors and account holders.
| Effective date | September 7, 2026 |
1. Privacy model
MyLocalPost is designed to operate a local community service, not to sell or trade member personal information or build cross-site behavioral advertising profiles. We do not use a Meta Pixel or equivalent cross-site “super-cookie” model. We may use limited first-party analytics and essential technologies needed to operate, secure, remember preferences and understand aggregate use.
2. Information collected
We may collect account and profile information; age or eligibility confirmations; content and communications; business, organization, campaign or creator information; transactions and processor references; device, browser, log and security information; approximate area selected by the user; support requests; moderation reports; preferences; and information supplied through forms. We do not intentionally collect raw payment-card data processed by third-party processors.
3. Purposes
We process information to provide and personalize requested features; authenticate accounts; deliver posts, messages, alerts and notifications; support local discovery; process purchases; verify accounts; prevent abuse; moderate content; maintain security; provide support; comply with law; measure aggregate performance; improve the service; and communicate about accounts, policies and offerings.
4. Disclosures
We may disclose information to processors acting for us; other users according to profile, content and privacy settings; payment and service providers selected by an account holder or user; professional advisers; affiliates; a successor transaction; and government or private parties when reasonably necessary to comply with law, protect rights or safety, address fraud, or enforce policies. We do not disclose personal data for money as a business model.
5. Advertising
Advertising is based primarily on geography, account category, context and user-selected preferences, not cross-site tracking or inferred sensitive traits. MyLocalPost does not permit targeting based on inferred health, disability, precise location, race, religion, sexual orientation, immigration status or other sensitive characteristics except where a lawful, user-directed feature is expressly designed and consented to.
6. Retention and security
We retain information for the period reasonably necessary for the stated purpose, account administration, fraud prevention, legal obligations, disputes and backups. We use reasonable administrative, technical and physical safeguards appropriate to the information. No online service can guarantee perfect security or uninterrupted availability.
7. Privacy choices and rights
Depending on residence and applicable law, a user may request access, correction, deletion, portability, or confirmation of processing; appeal a denied request; and opt out of qualifying sale, targeted advertising or profiling. Because our stated model does not sell personal data or use cross-context behavioral advertising, some opt-outs may not apply, but we will honor legally recognized opt-out preference signals where required. Requests: support@causework.io. We may verify identity and authorized-agent authority.
8. Children
The service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from a child under 13 without legally sufficient parental consent. Report suspected under-13 accounts to support@causework.io. Schools and organizations remain responsible for student privacy, parental permissions, education records and media releases for content they publish.
9. State disclosures
Delaware residents may have rights under the Delaware Personal Data Privacy Act. Virginia residents may have rights under the Virginia Consumer Data Protection Act. Other state laws may apply as MyLocalPost expands. This Policy does not waive rights that cannot lawfully be waived.
10. Changes and contact
We may update this Policy and will provide notice of material changes as required. Contact: support@causework.io. Legal notices: support@causework.io. Mailing address: support@causework.io.
Speech, User Control, Reporting and Legal Compliance
Lawful speech wins—even when it is rude, unpopular, offensive, or wrong.
1. Our free-expression commitment
MyLocalPost is a private application owned and operated by CauseWork. The First Amendment restricts government action; it does not require a private platform to carry every message. Even so, MyLocalPost voluntarily adopts the American tradition of vigorous lawful expression as a core operating principle. We do not remove lawful speech merely because it is unpopular, political, religious, controversial, harsh, insulting, or alleged to be hateful.
2. No community moderators
MyLocalPost does not appoint volunteer or community moderators to police opinions, politics, disagreements, or tone. CauseWork maintains a narrow professional legal, safety, and platform-integrity function. That function exists to apply these published rules, respond to credible safety concerns, and satisfy legal obligations—not to enforce neighborhood popularity or ideological agreement.
3. Disagreement is not abuse
Offense is not the same as danger, and hurt feelings are not a veto. A statement such as “That’s the dumbest thing I’ve ever read, you moron” may be rude and may damage the speaker’s reputation, but it is not automatically a platform violation. Criticism of ideas, institutions, religions, political movements, public officials, candidates, businesses, organizations, and community decisions is permitted when lawful.
4. Your block button, your boundary
Any user may block another user. Blocking is the immediate personal remedy for speech or contact a user does not want to see. A block does not declare either person correct, punish an opinion, or require CauseWork to remove otherwise lawful content from the wider community.
5. Reporting is open to everyone
Users may report any post, comment, profile, message, advertisement, listing, livestream, or account, including content believed to vilify, humiliate, threaten, or encourage violence against people because of race, color, religion, ethnicity, national origin, disability, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, or another protected characteristic. The reporting mechanism accepts complaints without requiring the reporter to select a legally perfect category.
A report brings content to CauseWork’s attention. It is not proof of wrongdoing, a vote against another user, or a guarantee of removal, restriction, an individualized response, or the outcome requested by the reporter. The Report button is not a “disagree” button.
6. When CauseWork may act
CauseWork may preserve evidence, limit distribution, restrict features, remove content, suspend an account, disclose information, or make a legally required report when reasonably necessary to address a published platform rule, credible safety risk, valid legal process, or legal obligation. Matters that may require action include credible threats; incitement of imminent unlawful conduct; targeted criminal harassment or stalking; doxxing or disclosure of private information that facilitates harm; child abuse, sexual exploitation, or human trafficking; nonconsensual intimate imagery or qualifying digital forgeries; fraud, scams, impersonation, or illegal transactions; copyright infringement; court orders; malware, spam, or attacks on the service; and prohibited adult sexual content.
Racist, hateful, degrading, or dehumanizing expression may be reported and reviewed. Such characterization alone does not automatically make speech illegal or require removal. CauseWork evaluates whether the content crosses a published rule or legal line, including a credible threat, unlawful discrimination in a commercial activity, targeted criminal conduct, or incitement satisfying the applicable legal standard.
7. Required reporting, preservation, and removal
Where applicable law requires CauseWork to report apparent child sexual exploitation or trafficking, preserve specified records, process a legally sufficient removal request, respond to valid legal process, or take another action, CauseWork will comply. MyLocalPost does not promise to monitor every communication or affirmatively search every user’s content, and a legal reporting duty does not create a general surveillance program.
8. Reputation follows speech
MyLocalPost is a community platform. Lawful speech may remain, but users live with the community reputation their words create. Freedom to speak is not freedom from disagreement, criticism, blocking, lost trust, or lawful consequences imposed by other people and organizations.
9. Consistent decisions and records
CauseWork may record reports, relevant evidence, timestamps, preservation steps, decisions, rule or legal bases, and appeals in order to apply this policy consistently, protect users, and demonstrate compliance. Access to those records is restricted according to role, purpose, and law.
10. Contact
Questions about this policy or reports that cannot be submitted through the application may be sent to support@causework.io. Call 911 or the appropriate emergency service when someone faces immediate danger.
Community Standards
Applies to posts, profiles, comments, groups, messages, reviews, media, livestreams, listings and other user activity.
| Effective date | September 7, 2026 |
1. Safety and lawful expression
No credible threats, instructions intended and likely to cause imminent unlawful harm, targeted criminal harassment, stalking, doxxing that facilitates harm, nonconsensual intimate imagery, sexual exploitation, trafficking, or encouragement of self-harm.
Lawful speech is not prohibited merely because it is rude, offensive, unpopular, political, religious, controversial, degrading, or alleged to be hateful. Users may report such content and may block the speaker immediately. CauseWork acts when content crosses a published platform rule, credible safety threshold, or legal line as explained in the Speech, User Control, Reporting and Legal Compliance policy.
2. Sexual and adult content
No pornography, sexual services, fetish content, sexually explicit livestreams, sexualized nudity, grooming, exploitation, or content primarily intended for sexual gratification.
Limited nonsexual health, news, educational, breastfeeding or artistic context may be allowed when lawful and appropriately presented.
3. Authenticity and integrity
No impersonation, coordinated inauthentic behavior, deceptive editing, fraud, phishing, fake accounts, undisclosed synthetic personas, fake engagement, or manipulated reviews.
AI-assisted content must not deceive people about a material fact, identity, endorsement, emergency, election or transaction.
4. Privacy and confidential information
Do not publish private contact, financial, health, education, employment, identity or precise-location information without authority. Do not expose minors or vulnerable people to avoidable risk.
5. Regulated and dangerous activity
No illegal drugs, unlawful weapons sales, stolen goods, counterfeit goods, animal fighting, exploitation, unlawful gambling, fraudulent fundraising or instructions designed to facilitate serious wrongdoing.
6. Enforcement context
We consider severity, intent, newsworthiness, public interest, likelihood of harm, account history and available context. Content may be labeled, limited, removed or referred to appropriate authorities.
Marketplace Rules
Applies to private listings, giveaways, local services, commercial sellers and marketplace communications.
| Effective date | September 7, 2026 |
1. Marketplace role
MyLocalPost provides discovery and communication tools. Unless expressly stated, it is not the seller, buyer, broker, auctioneer, escrow provider, inspector, authenticator, delivery service or payment processor. Users transact at their own risk and should use safe meeting, inspection and payment practices.
2. Prohibited listings
Illegal goods or services; stolen or counterfeit items; controlled substances; prescription drugs; tobacco, nicotine, cannabis or alcohol where prohibited; weapons or explosives prohibited by platform rule or law; recalled or unsafe products; human remains; sexual services; exploitative content; animals offered unlawfully or without welfare safeguards; fraudulent tickets, credentials or documents; financial schemes; hazardous materials; and anything MyLocalPost determines presents unacceptable risk.
No discriminatory housing, employment, credit or public-accommodation listings. Regulated categories require all licenses, notices and eligibility controls.
3. Truthful condition, price and identity
Sellers must accurately describe identity, ownership, condition, defects, price, fees, availability, location and material restrictions. Bait-and-switch tactics, false urgency, advance-fee fraud, off-platform phishing and payment redirection scams are prohibited.
4. Private versus commercial sellers
A person acting primarily for personal purposes may use private marketplace features under these Rules. Repeated, organized or profit-seeking sales may be treated as commercial activity and require an eligible business account. Labeling an activity “private” does not override applicable law.
5. Disputes
Buyers and sellers are responsible for inspection, delivery, returns, refunds, warranties, taxes and disputes. MyLocalPost may preserve records, restrict accounts or assist lawful investigations but does not guarantee recovery or resolution.
Advertising Standards
Applies to paid and promotional content, offers, sponsored posts, boosts, video advertising and advertiser landing pages.
| Effective date | September 7, 2026 |
1. Core requirements
Advertising must be lawful, truthful, nondeceptive, substantiated where required, accurately identify the advertiser, disclose material conditions, and lead to a functioning destination consistent with the advertisement. MyLocalPost may require proof of claims, licenses, prices, inventory, authorization and disclosures.
2. Prohibited advertising
Fraud, impersonation, deceptive pricing, misleading health or income claims, counterfeit goods, unlawful discrimination, exploitative lending, unlawful political content, pornography or sexual services, illegal drugs, unsafe or unlawful weapons, tobacco/nicotine/cannabis/alcohol promotions that violate law or platform rules, malware, surveillance tools, stolen data, fake reviews, or products and services MyLocalPost determines create unacceptable risk.
No targeting or creative that exploits sensitive traits, tragedy, addiction, financial distress, medical conditions, minors or precise location.
3. Geography and delivery
Targeting may use selected towns, ZIP codes, counties, statewide Delaware coverage or approved service territories. Delivery is approximate and may include people outside a selected boundary or exclude people inside it. Inventory, moderation, frequency and technical limits affect delivery. No minimum performance is promised unless a written insertion order expressly states one.
4. Endorsements and sponsored content
Advertisers, creators and endorsers must clearly disclose paid, gifted, affiliate, employment, ownership and other material connections. Testimonials must reflect honest experience and may not convey unsupported typical-results claims.
5. Review, rejection and changes
MyLocalPost may review ads before or after publication and may pause, reject, relabel, relocate, resize or remove them. Approval does not constitute legal review or endorsement. Material edits may require new review.
Political Account and Advertising Terms
Applies to candidates, campaigns, committees, elected officials and paid political communications in the Civic Center.
| Effective date | September 7, 2026 |
1. Ordinary political speech remains free
Members may discuss politics, elections, officials and public issues under the general Terms and Community Standards without buying a political package. The $100 annual fee applies to eligible political accounts and their commercial profile/advertising tools; it is not a fee for ordinary member speech.
2. Commercial-service rationale
The $100 annual political package establishes a bona fide, nominally priced commercial relationship for a defined service. It is designed to avoid treating free or specially discounted campaign promotional value as a MyLocalPost political contribution. This does not mean law categorically requires MyLocalPost to charge $100 in every circumstance. Counsel must confirm the structure and jurisdiction-specific treatment.
3. Equal terms and no endorsement
Substantially equivalent political services will be offered on substantially equivalent terms without regard to party, ideology, viewpoint, incumbency or position on an issue, subject to law, eligibility, inventory and platform rules. Payment, verification or publication is not endorsement, affiliation, contribution or verification of claims.
4. Placement and included tools
Political profiles and advertising are placed in the Civic Center under current policy rather than the general community feed. During the paid term, the package may include profile, publishing, video, livestreaming, podcast and campaign-advertising tools shown in the current offer. Features do not guarantee distribution or outcomes.
5. Account-holder compliance
The political account is solely responsible for eligibility, identity, payment source, sponsorship, authorization, disclaimer, public-record, campaign-finance, expenditure, reporting, recordkeeping and retention duties under federal, state and local law. MyLocalPost may require committee, candidate, treasurer, payer, disclaimer and filing information.
6. Civic integrity
No voter suppression, false voting logistics, impersonation of election officials, hacked materials published primarily to facilitate wrongdoing, threats, coordinated inauthentic activity, undisclosed foreign involvement prohibited by law, or deceptive synthetic media. MyLocalPost may label claims and link to authoritative election information.
Creator, Podcast, Video and Livestream Terms
Applies to Creator, Creator Pro, Network and other media-production accounts.
| Effective date | September 7, 2026 |
1. Plans and payment
Podcast participation is currently offered through an interest form only. Submitting interest is not a purchase, does not require payment, and does not guarantee acceptance, activation, capacity, placement, audience size, sponsorship, or revenue. Any future paid offer will be separately disclosed and will require affirmative acceptance before a charge is made.
2. Content responsibility
Creators are responsible for episodes, clips, videos, streams, music, guests, callers, interviews, performances, promotions and archives. They must obtain all copyright, master, composition, synchronization, performance, publicity, privacy, venue, recording, union and contractual permissions required for use.
3. Adult content prohibited
Creator products may not be used for pornography, sexual services, sexually explicit performances, fetish content, exploitative nudity or content primarily intended for sexual gratification. The prohibition applies to live, recorded, linked, sponsored and promotional material.
4. Sponsorships and revenue
Creators may negotiate lawful sponsorships directly and retain 100% of sponsorship revenue paid directly to them. MyLocalPost is not a party to the sponsorship, does not set rates, does not collect the creator's sponsor payments, and does not guarantee sponsors or revenue. Sponsors do not receive business-advertising benefits unless separately eligible and purchased.
5. Distribution and discovery
RSS, platform discovery, featured-placement eligibility, clips, notifications and other distribution tools are subject to technical limits and third-party requirements. Featured placement is editorial/discretionary and never guaranteed by purchase. Creators retain responsibility for external-platform compliance.
6. Recording and live risk
Creators must obtain legally required consent before recording or streaming conversations, calls, performances, minors, private places or events. Live content may be delayed, interrupted or removed. Creators are responsible for venue safety, guest conduct and emergency planning.
Nonprofit and Organization Eligibility Rules
Applies to nonprofit, school, faith, community and other free or specially classified organizational accounts.
| Effective date | September 7, 2026 |
1. Eligibility and verification
MyLocalPost may require formation records, tax status, government or school affiliation, authorized-domain email, leadership identity, service area and mission information. Free classification is discretionary and may be reviewed periodically. Loss of legal status, misrepresentation or commercial misuse may end eligibility.
2. Free MyLocalPost access
Eligible nonprofits may receive profiles, publishing, community tools and advertising without MyLocalPost profile, platform or advertising fees under the current program. External payment-processor, bank, tax, licensing, insurance, professional and other third-party costs remain the organization's responsibility.
3. Fundraising
Organizations are responsible for charitable-solicitation registrations, disclosures, tax-deductibility statements, receipts, donor restrictions, restricted funds, refunds, chargebacks, raffles, auctions, contests, gaming, prizes, fulfillment and truthful use-of-funds claims. MyLocalPost is not the charity, fiduciary, professional fundraiser, tax adviser or guarantor of deductibility.
4. Schools, minors and faith organizations
Schools and youth-serving organizations must protect education records, obtain parental and media permissions, and follow child-safety requirements. Faith organizations may participate without endorsement or disfavor by MyLocalPost and remain responsible for donations, performances, music rights, volunteers and events.
5. Community grants statement
MyLocalPost's business direction includes returning remaining profits to communities through grants. Any grant program must be governed by separate published eligibility, selection, conflict, tax and reporting rules. This statement does not create an entitlement, fiduciary duty or guaranteed distribution.
News-Media Account Standards
Applies to approved newspapers, broadcasters, digital publications and community news organizations.
| Effective date | September 7, 2026 |
1. Editorial profile
Approved news-media entities may receive a free editorial profile to help members discover reporting. They may link to or publish authorized journalism, broadcasts, interviews and public-interest information. Approval does not certify accuracy or create endorsement.
2. Editorial-commercial separation
The free news profile may not be used for sponsored posts, advertorials, affiliate promotions, product solicitations, paid political messages or commercial advertising. A media organization may operate a separate eligible creator/network product for monetized podcasts, video or shows, provided the activity remains clearly distinguishable from its editorial profile.
3. Standards and corrections
Media accounts are responsible for ownership, defamation, privacy, recording consent, court restrictions, source protection, minors, corrections and applicable professional standards. Sponsored or supplied material must be labeled where required. A link to outside reporting remains the publisher's responsibility.
4. Public-safety reporting
Urgent reporting must not impersonate official alerts or obstruct emergency response. MyLocalPost may label unverified reports, prioritize authoritative sources, reduce distribution, or remove dangerous misinformation. The platform is not an emergency service or official archive.
Copyright and DMCA Policy
Provides the notice, counter-notice and repeat-infringer framework required for user-generated content.
| Effective date | September 7, 2026 |
1. Designated agent
DMCA notices and copyright inquiries may be submitted to support@causework.io.
2. Notice of claimed infringement
A notice should identify the copyrighted work; identify the challenged material and its location; provide the complainant's contact information; include a good-faith statement that the use is not authorized; include an accuracy-and-authority statement under penalty of perjury; and carry the physical or electronic signature of the owner or authorized agent. Incomplete notices may delay action.
3. Counter-notice
A counter-notice should identify the removed material and former location; state under penalty of perjury that removal resulted from mistake or misidentification; provide the subscriber's name, address and telephone number; consent to the federal jurisdiction required by 17 U.S.C. § 512(g); agree to accept service; and carry a physical or electronic signature. MyLocalPost may forward the counter-notice and restore material as permitted by law.
4. Repeat infringers and abuse
MyLocalPost may terminate repeat infringers in appropriate circumstances and may act against materially false, abusive or fraudulent notices or counter-notices. Trademark, impersonation and other intellectual-property complaints may be sent to support@causework.io with ownership and authorization evidence.
Payments, Cancellation and Refund Terms
Applies to MyLocalPost plan purchases and platform-facilitated links to third-party payment processors.
| Effective date | September 7, 2026 |
1. Charges and checkout
Prices, taxes, included capacity and term for paid products are disclosed at checkout. The purchaser authorizes the displayed charge. Paid enrollment is incomplete until payment and clickwrap acceptance succeed. Podcast interest is not currently a paid enrollment. MyLocalPost does not store raw card details handled by the processor.
2. Annual term and manual renewal
Paid plans run for the annual term stated at purchase and do not automatically renew under the current model. A new charge requires an affirmative renewal purchase. Reminders are courtesy communications and do not extend a term.
3. Cancellation
A purchaser may request cancellation, but access ordinarily continues until the end of the paid term. Cancellation stops no automatic charge because there is no automatic renewal. Removing an account or content may be governed by retention, dispute and legal-hold requirements.
4. Refunds
Unless checkout or law states otherwise, annual plan fees are nonrefundable after purchase. MyLocalPost may provide a discretionary credit or refund without creating a continuing obligation. A suspension or termination for breach does not create a refund right. Mandatory statutory rights control.
5. Third-party transactions
Payments made directly to a business, creator, nonprofit, organizer or other account holder are governed by that recipient and its processor. The recipient is responsible for receipts, refunds, chargebacks, taxes and fulfillment. MyLocalPost does not hold or own those funds merely because the transaction began through the platform.
Events, Fundraising and Promotions Rules
Applies to events, registrations, ticketing, volunteer activities, auctions, raffles, contests and promotional campaigns.
| Effective date | September 7, 2026 |
1. Organizer responsibility
The organizer is responsible for venue, permits, insurance, accessibility, safety, security, staffing, age restrictions, vendors, alcohol service, transportation, weather plans, cancellations, refunds, taxes and emergency procedures. MyLocalPost is not the organizer, venue, insurer, security provider or emergency service.
2. Registration and ticketing
Listings must accurately state date, time, location, capacity, price, fees, restrictions, accessibility information, cancellation policy and organizer identity. Ticketing and payment may be supplied by third parties under their terms. No listing guarantees admission or event performance.
3. Fundraising
Fundraisers must identify the beneficiary and organizer, accurately describe use of proceeds, provide legally required charitable disclosures, and honor restrictions. Personal fundraising may not impersonate a charity or misstate tax deductibility.
4. Contests, raffles and gaming
The organizer must determine legality, eligibility, registration, bonding, official rules, odds, prizes, tax reporting, winner selection and required disclosures. MyLocalPost may prohibit a promotion even where the organizer believes it lawful. No purchase-necessary or gambling structure may be used unless expressly approved and lawful.
Safety, Reporting and Enforcement Policy
Explains reporting channels, review practices, evidence preservation and enforcement outcomes.
| Effective date | September 7, 2026 |
1. Reports
Users may report content, accounts, listings, messages, safety issues, impersonation, scams and policy violations through available in-product tools or support@causework.io. Provide URLs, account names, dates, screenshots and context where lawful. Do not use reports to harass or suppress lawful disagreement.
2. Immediate danger
Contact 911 or the appropriate emergency authority for immediate danger. MyLocalPost cannot dispatch responders, guarantee continuous monitoring or substitute for official missing-person, weather, public-health or safety channels.
3. Review and proportionality
MyLocalPost may use automated signals and human review. Outcomes may include no action, warning, label, reduced distribution, age or geographic restriction, feature limitation, content removal, payment or ad pause, preservation, suspension or termination. Severe or repeated violations may receive stronger action without progressive warnings.
4. Appeals
Where available, an affected user may appeal with relevant context. Appeals do not guarantee restoration and may be unavailable for legal orders, emergency risk, repeat abuse or account-security measures. MyLocalPost may correct mistakes and may decline duplicative or abusive appeals.
5. Lawful requests and preservation
MyLocalPost may preserve or disclose information when reasonably necessary to comply with valid legal process, protect safety, investigate fraud, secure the service or enforce rights. Government requests should be directed to support@causework.io. Emergency requests must identify the requesting authority and legal basis.
Accessibility Statement
States MyLocalPost’s accessibility commitment and feedback process.
| Effective date | September 7, 2026 |
1. Commitment
MyLocalPost is committed to making its website and progressive web application usable by people with disabilities. Accessibility is treated as an ongoing product and content responsibility rather than a one-time certification.
2. Current approach
We work toward recognized accessibility practices, including keyboard access, meaningful structure, readable contrast, text alternatives, responsive layouts, clear labels, understandable errors and compatibility with commonly used assistive technologies. Third-party content or services may present limitations outside our direct control.
3. Feedback and accommodations
If you encounter a barrier, contact support@causework.io and identify the page or feature, the barrier, the assistive technology or browser used if relevant, and the preferred response method. Do not include sensitive information that is unnecessary to investigate the issue. We will make reasonable efforts to respond and provide an alternative where feasible.
4. No false certification
This statement expresses an operational commitment and does not claim perfect conformance, certify every third-party integration, or waive any right or obligation under applicable disability law.
